Bio
Tim recently finished a 5 year project of retelling the story of a backpacking trip he took in 2014. He began the project of digitizing the entries closer to 2015 after his return. The purpose of the project was to A) entertain my readers, B) invite others to travel vicariously through him, C) to inspire more people to travel, and D) to document his experiences for himself. Through the use of the journal entries (or otherwise simple notes) he made while traveling, videos he made, and photos he took, Tim compiled his daily experiences into a series of 58 journal entries that he posted here for anyone to enjoy. One day Tim might take the Travel Tales and write something more like a memoir, a story inspired by the journal entries, or a series of memories, but for now, he is simply excited to have completed the project.
While they didn't follow a consistent story structure, Tim used the Travel Tales to practice formulating good sentences, creating colorful descriptions, and other practical writing elements. Meanwhile, the Story Tales are Tim's cracks at actual short-story creation and writing. With Story Tales, he try to follow a consistent story structure/pattern and practice using as many story-telling elements as possible.
Timbuck Musings are something Tim hasn't completely thought out yet. It will likely be random musings related to travel, adventure, growth, and the human experience. Stay tuned for those!
Ultimately, Tim desires to be a published historical fiction/history-inspired fantasy-fiction author. He is currently feeling out 2 different projects, one that he has been thinking about since his junior year of University featuring a medieval vigilante character. The other features a Tolkien-inspired fantasy based on historical mythologies (history-inspired fantasy-fiction) from regions with a largely uncelebrated cultural heritage.
