Bio
Tobias is a lifelong Chicago native who dedicates himself to documenting those defining moments in life that capture the very essence of what it means to have the human spirit.
With the click of a mechanical shutter and a split second borrowed from mother nature's time, he creates the eternal image, as we express our emotions.
Tobias has been a professional photographer for 15 years now. Upon receiving his BFA in photojournalism from Columbia College Chicago, he began photographing weddings, family portraits, sports, corporate events, as well as, shooting for several local newspaper organizations including, The Chicago Tribune.
He believes that the camera is a passport to the world. Tobias has been able to see into the souls and hearts of many people through his photography. Ordinary people have allowed him to photograph their lives, and in turn, this has enriched his own.
Whether shooting the city streets, a presidential visit, a flying home-run, wedding rings exchanged or a newborn's first smile, we express our feelings, he clicks the shutter and our souls are put in pictures.
