Bio
Kaaran Thomas is a nationally recognized bankruptcy attorney. She began her practice in Houston, Texas during the recession of the 1980's at the largest law firm in Texas - Vinson & Elkins LLP. She represented many large banks, oil companies and prominent Texans in some of the largest bankruptcies in the oil and gas industry. She became the first female bankrupty partner in the firm. One of her partners was Hon. John B. Connally, Jr., former Governor of Texas, who she worked with until his bankruptcy filing in 1986. She is currently the head of the bankruptcy practice group for McDonald Carano Wilson LLP in Reno, Nevada.
