Bio
I’ve been writing off and on for my whole life, even though my main ambition was to be a visual artist. I finally finished my graphic design degree at CSU in 1995 and am currently working as a free-lance designer. For the last sixteen years, I collaborated with my husband on the design and decoration of art pottery, examples of which may be found at his website: cachelapottery.com.
In addition to graphic design, I’ve been writing a column for the North Forty News out of Fort Collins, Colorado. I began as a food columnist and later branched out into feature writing. Then, last March, I woke up in the middle of the night with an idea for a novel. Instead of ignoring the urge, I sat down at the computer in the morning and started to write.
Since then, creative writing has become my passion and I’m working on a second version of my novel. I’d been trying to do this for about thirty years but could never complete anything of any substance. Now I firmly believe that I am forging a new career that seems to have some real momentum behind it.
I intend to fashion myself as a contemporary western fiction writer. I’ve lived in Colorado all my life and love the abundance of subject matter and characters that populate the American West.
