Bio
Tom Slater loves all aspects of fishing. Whether it be chasing Bream and Bass on light tackle, or jigging the deepwater for Kingfish and Amberjack, Tom has done it all.
A keen tournament fisherman Tom has had several top 5 finishes in the ABT Bream Series as a non boater throughout 2011/2012, and in November of 2012 won the Teams Classic Grand Final along with his teammate Alex Roy and the $40,000 boat package that goes along with it. 2013 was a step up into the boaters division where his first comp for the year saw a 2nd place finish at the Hawkesbury River.
There is probably very few people that rival Tom's comprehensive knowledge of the fishing industry and the tackle that drives it forward. Always priding himself on the knowledge he carries, Tom is never one to get left behind on a new technique and is usually out there testing theories and ideas well before they hit the mainstream market.
Employed by Nomad Tackle Pty Ltd, Tom's day to day job entails marketing/advertising roles for the various brands they distribute as well as being the key person in charge of research and product development for bringing new products to market.
