MY STORY
I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease when I was 11- years old. Before I received my diagnosis I was told that it was all in my head. I struggled with fevers, vomiting, diarrhea, and extreme weight loss. Many doctors later, I was eventually referred to a specialist and finally, I had a diagnosis. I was admitted to the hospital and for many years the doctor maintained my health with medication.
In 1995 I had surgery to remove a portion of my small bowel. Fast forward 2012 I had another major flare-up and was admitted to the hospital, after significant unwanted weight loss and all the usual suspects of Crohn’s Disease in tow.
I decided this would be the last time I would ever get sick again and decided to be the master of my own health. I started doing research and came across the Autoimmune Protocol a.k.a. AIP and I healed just from doing diet and lifestyle changes. I no longer need medication or surgery to keep my Crohn’s under control. I've worked with women diagnosed with an autoimmune disease decrease their symptoms and put their disease in remission.
