Bio
I work as a librarian at the Open University in Milton Keynes and have always been passionate about stories.
I have spent much of my free time reading and writing fiction, especially prose and poetry. I particularly enjoy literary, detective and crime fiction and am also curious about dystopian and utopian fiction.
Some of my favourite contemporary authors are Salman Rushdie, Margaret Atwood, Haruki Murakami, Sarah Waters and David Mitchell, all of who have influenced my own writing.
I enjoy walking and running and often mull over ideas for creative projects and find some inspiration when I'm out in nature.
'The Snowstorm' is my first published novel. It's literary fiction and taps into a range of genres from detective fiction to romance and dystopia. It has the potential to appeal to readers with different preferences. Most of all it's an ode to storytelling, highlighting its redemptive power in the face of adversity as experienced by each of the novel's characters.
