I am a passionate cook with 20 years experience of authentic Chinese cuisine.
I have long been thinking of starting this blog. There has been this ominous misunderstanding of Chinese food that it’s greasy and unhealthy. People order take-out when they want to take a break from the kitchen and are willing to bear the unhealthy consequence. The truth is – the real Chinese food is the opposite.
Let me tell you about authentic Chinese food:
☼ Light and healthy – not the heavy, greasy “westernized” Chinese food you get from restaurants or food court. Authentic Chinese food is healthy and nutritious.
☼ Tasty – Extremely delicious through its delicate approach and combination of ingredients.
☼ Easy to prepare – You can make it in your own kitchen!
My cooking philosophy:
The core principle is to reflect the food’s original flavour. The practice of using seasoning and spices should not overwhelm the materials while stimulates the materials’ flavour.
