Bio
Nan Hawthorne is an internationally known writer and trainer in the field of volunteer resources managment. She is the editor in chief of Volunteer Management Review at CharityChannel, as well as an intstructor in their CharityUniversity. She originated CyberVPM (now run by the Association for Volunteer Administration) and the founder of International Volunteer Manager Appreciation Day (November 1).
Hawthorne has written over 800 articles on volunteer resources management and on other topics, inclluding disabilities and careers and charity crafting.
She lives near Seattle with her husband and five cats.
