Bio
Janet Franz is an experienced wellness professional who is passionate about healthy living. She is a nationally certified in Personal Training, Group Fitness, Mat Pilates and Wellness Coaching. She provides professional fitness services to individuals and groups: employees of BlueCross BlueShield of Vermont, PC Construction, UTC Aerospace and Champlain College, members of Survivorship NOW, residents of Cathedral Square Senior Housing, students at Shelburne Community School, and members of The Edge health club. She loves fitness classes, gym workouts, and local, nutritious food, but she also understands that everyone has their own interests and needs. Janet is very approachable and has a strong record of collaborating with diverse groups of people. She chairs the Vermont Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, serving since 2004 under Governors Jim Douglas and Peter Shumlin. She writes health, fitness, recreation, environment, business, and human-interest stories for print and electronic media.
