Bio
Where to begin? Let's see, I was born, arguably, in Woodfence, NY. I say arguably because people claim that Woodfence doesn't actually exist, but I think that's beside the point as I didn't live there long. My parents soon moved our family to Lima, Peru which you can find easily on a map, and that's great because I definitely want to go back there someday.
I have never stayed in one place for long. When I was growing up I idolized the notion of staying in one place. I wanted to have a history with my friends and have roots in the community. I envied my cousins who lived in the same town as my grandma and never had to be the new kids in school.
I met (and married) my best friend and absolute love, while in college. As it turns out, once you acclimate to a transient lifestyle, it becomes difficult to give it up. We found ourselves wanting to travel, yet having no means to do so. Soon after I graduated he found employment that would take us overseas. We took the leap together and we've been crisscrossing the globe ever since.
I started wanderlustandwonder as a means to share a bit of my overseas experience. I write for many people/companies, but this is the space I've carved out to indulge my weird sensibilities, and love of food and art, while meeting like-minded/like-hearted folks along the way.
As we say in Woodfence, "If you have time to read a blog, then you have time to make a friend"... I'm not sure why we say that, but I think we're friends now. : )
