Bio
I have been building dry stone walls in the mountains of mid Wales for 25 years. I am a conservationist and naturalist. I study landscape and have a Masters degree in Historical Landscape Studies. Most importantly I am an agricultural historian and own a farm museum representing the tools, equipment and practices of an early C20th upland Welsh farm.
I am a proud Welshman and have a regard for the history of my homeland, a hiraeth of such strength that I do not stay out of Wales for long.
My blog posts cover all manner of issues, rarely political or religious, often just things that come across my outdoor desk on a daily basis. I rarely meet a customer who is not full of interesting and knowledgeable facts, about the countryside, about farming, about society and about people. I try, in my blog posts, which are now into their seventh year, to be honest, amusing, thought provoking and useful, especially in educating readers about Wales and its history. I hope you enjoy the ramblings of Welshwaller, feel free to comment, subscribe if you are inclined, tell your friends or enemies, whichever seems the most attractive !
