Bio
I am a Wholefoodist. I blog about my experience eating natural, whole, unprocessed, REAL, food - S.O.L.E. (Sustainable Organic Local Ethical) FOOD!
I share top tips and resources from leading nutritionists, researchers, bloggers, and practitioners of the paleo/primal/ancestral health nutrition movement, for the benefit of myself and other health truth-seekers. In my quest for optimal nutrition, I examine the who, what, where, when, why, and how-to’s of putting it in to practice. There is a lot of information out there. I do my best to consider the motives and ideals of the content producers and gain understanding of the high-level, science-y stuff.
My growing obsession with optimal and ethical nutrition started when I was about 13-14 years old. I began to cook my own low-fat meals, research nutrition, and create recipes that supported what I learned about "good nutrition." I have read many of the leading diet books, and tried everything from the common, to the obscure, to the extreme.
I have realized a low-fat diet is illogical. Eating natural, whole foods, as human’s did before the agricultural revolution, is much more sensible. Not to mention tastier and more satisfying, than diet versions of already processed foods.
