Hello! My name is Vinca. I'm a 26 year old female, and right now, I'm in grad school, trying to unravel the mysteries of regeneration. In worms. But HEY! These are really cool worms that can actually regenerate their entire bodies from cut fragments! This blog is a collection of stories of my adventures and misadventures as I plod on in this complex landscape we call life.
The story behind my username:
It all started out with choosing a unique e-mail address. My full name is Vinca Yadav, and I thought yvinca was a great user ID (LOL!). Over the years, spelling it out to people has always involved saying "Yeah, it's y and then vinca". And to the people close to me who have watched me make one stupid mistake after the other over the years, it's perfect, because they just sigh and say "Why, Vinca?" So this is dedicated to all those amazing people who unabashedly say "Why, Vinca?" to me oh-so-often.
