Bio
We are, of course, three sisters: Jane Grey (the quiet scholar), Red Emma (the revolutionary), and CynThesis (who talks to and listens to both of them.) We reserve the right to add to our numbers, and are in fact contemplating two additions: Cornelia Otis Aeolian, the music buff and bonne vivante, and Ben Trovato, the Director of Wired's Office of Creative Publicity and Quasi-Factual Information, our expert on conspiracies and apocrypha.
Anyway, all of these personas (personae?) reside within one household and one skin. The household also includes Mr. Wired, whom we often quote, and the Wired Cat, as well as our daughter the foodie, who lives out in the far boonies but often contributes useful info. Mr. Wired, who is now disabled and retired, is a computer whiz and maintains the rig that runs our law practice.
Which brings us to Wired Sisters, Esq. We run a solo practice specializing in family law and military and veterans' issues, and dabbling in real estate, criminal, and other stuff that may be necessary to our long-time clients.
We do this, and many other things, in English and Spanish, because my parents were both born in Cuba.
Also, at various times, I have taught college (lots of English composition, and 20 years of teaching Professional Standards for Mental Health Workers, a required course for psych majors at a local State college), and worked as a proofreader, copyeditor, freelance writer, hotshot typist, and medical transcriber.
Aside from all that, I did three years in divinity school, and have been a major functionary in a Jewish congregation which has now dissolved. Now I'm in two congregations and sort of getting over the disappearance of their predecessor.
Hope this isn't Too Much Info.
