Bio
I grew up in Inglewood and Hawthorne California. I was in the class of "63" in Hawthorne High School. I returned from a Spanish speaking mission in mid-December 1965. I meet Rene' in mid-January 1966 and we married 25 June 1966 in the Los Angeles Temple. I attended El Camino Jr College from Sept. 1967 to Dec.1969. On 04/29/1968 I was hired on the Los Angeles ticket counter by Western Airlines. April 1970 we [ I, Rene', and Elisa] transferred from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City. I am still in the house we found when we transfer to Salt Lake. We added Heather, Jason, and Christopher. April of 1987 Western Airlines was purchased by Delta Airlines. I worked all customer service departments with Western and Delta Airlines. 01 November 2001 I retired.
We began to build our dreams for the second half of our lives. Rene' was working for Zion Bank. Everything was going fine until the big "C" popped its ugly head up December of 2005. I lost my bride of 40 years on 01 August 2006.
I bumbed around from one part time job to another until August of 2010 when Rene's sister Darleen knocked on my door and introduced me to being a substitute school teacher for the Granite School District.
About the same time I became a Church Service Missionary. I served in the Family History Department. I worked from home 15 hours a week answering emails about FamilySearch. I had a heart attack in June of 1997 and then I had another one late November 2014. I was released from my mission 15 December 2014
I had no idea of ever starting a blog but when I read on Fox News about the Fire Chief in Atlanta losing his job because he spoke up about gays I decided it was time for me to start speaking up so here I am.
