Bio
Writing under several pen names over a period of more than three decades, yours foolie/Ana Daksina has lyric and modern poetry published on four continents, and has worked as editor and ghostwriter with authors from another two, one of those authors being a past associate of the great Jomo Kenyatta.
An invitational reader with the National Haiku Society at San Francisco's annual National Poetry Convention, she holds a lifetime charter membership in the group by special request of its president, and her work appears in its anthologies.
Heading up a panel of Native American Women Poets of the Sacramento Valley at the International Congress of Cultures and Poetry, a prayer-stick sent with her by Lynn Andrews' Sisterhood of the Shields was the centerpiece of the event's sole spiritual observance.
An early chapbook, "'Didn't we Dance?' and Other Poems" was released by Artaud's Elbow through City Lights bookstore, North Beach, San Francisco. Her Elizabethan sonnets are published intercontintally, and have been brilliantly reviewed in the UK.
Since its official release in April of this year, her web book, "The New Holicaust: Homelessness in America and What We Can Do About It" has earned glowing, page long reviews by both Rebelle Society and Namaste Publications, and been read by thousands of compassionate people in 36 world nations to date.
