How to connect a Database to Gravity Forms?

  Good morning,

  I am starting to develop a site on wordpress.com including some input forms developed with the Gravity Forms plugin but I would like, once the form validation has been completed, to be able to save this data in a database in order to retrieve it and provide reports (e.g. PDF doc).

  I know that data (meta data?) is recorded in the WordPress database but how can I find it afterwards (which fields?)

  or is it simpler to create our own database (personal tables) by adding a plug-in but which one could interface with Gravity Forms?
