No SMS from you since forever

  I use WordPress and have several WordPress.com account since almost 20 years now and, while, when I was in North America (Canada) it was able to receive SMS for my 2nd auth. Then I moved to Thailand, and it stops, and the support never figured out how to help me. Now I moved to France the situation remains even if I changed my number and receive SMS from other services such as Google. So since over 8 years I have to use backup code, which is painful. What’s wrong with Automatic and how I could fix that ?
