Right now I’m using a free domain and I want to buy a domain. If I change my domain, what happen to my previous post? Because I linked them to Novel Update here( a novel translation platform). Will the link redirected to my new domain? Thank you.

If you are using a custom domain name, it will replace your free website address (the .wordpress.com address) and whenever folks accessing your site using your free website address, they will be directed automatically to your custom domain name :) So yep, the link will redirect to your new domain.
A bit of gotcha would be on how folks remember your website address. For example, for years folks have been knowing your website address as yyy.wordpress.com, then you registered yyy.com for your custom domain name.
The address yyy.wordpress.com will stay the same and pointing/redirecting to yyy.com, but you can inform your website visitors with something like, “hello! Update your bookmark, please! From now on, you can also access this site with yyy.com (the usual yyy.wordpress.com still work, no worries!)”
