Widgets in the wrong position

    Hi! I’m learning to use WordPress.
    I changed the theme from Mayland (it has widgets on the sidebar) to Orvis (widgets should be at the footer) and the widgets remain on the sidebar, this is wrong because Orvis has widgets at the footer.
    I changed more themes but the widgets remain on the sidebar.
    I deleted all the contents of my site but the widgets remain on the sidebar.
    I started a new site to try Orvis at basic and all is ok, widgets are at the footer.
    What can I do to have an Orvis theme working properly, with all his features working right, on my primary site?
