  I wan’t my customers to log in on my website, with log in codes I give them. So they can download some of my private projects. This downloads are files. Is there a possibility to make this happen? So yes, what is the best thing I can do?

  You could create so-called password-protected pages and posts, as described on https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-and-page-visibility/#changing-visibility. Please note that the basic functionality only allows using one password per page, thus, all users that should be able to access the page or post, would have the same password. This holds the risk that someone can forward the password to others to that they can also access the protected pages and posts.

  A more elegant solution would be to implement a membership plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-member/ (free), https://wordpress.org/plugins/paid-memberships-pro/ (free), https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-membership/ (free) or https://memberpress.com/ (paid). A membership plugin allows you to define which member has access to which content.

  Please note that plugins can only be installed on WordPress.com when using the business or the e-commerce plan.
