no .htaccess

    I’ve downloaded the latest version of WordPress to link the website I built to a host + server etc. I have running. However I get an error 403 saying I don’t have permission. When I look at my filezilla I see that there is no .htaccess file.

    I have tried finding possible solutions online and they all keep telling me to go to Settings > Permalinks. However Settings > Permalinks doesn’t exist for me which means I can’t make a new .htaccess file.

    Can someone please help me with this?
