Vimeo video’s don’t show anymore in external theme banner

    I have been using the same WP theme for several websites since 2020 and Vimeo video’s played fine. But for some reason, all uploads as of October 2022 do not show anymore in the banner section. Whereas they work fine when embedded in the page content.

    I have consulted both the theme developer and Vimeo but none of them say they can help me and direct me to WordPress. I have no clue what causes this but it’s very frustrating so I hope someone here has had the same problem and knows the solution.

    Note: at this moment I use Youtube links where necessary (they do work!) but I prefer Vimeo because it looks better.
