Invasion and failed login attempts
-
Good night sir
I am a developer of a page, whose address is: https://almazensemijoias.com.br/
This web page is under the WordPress platform.I confess that the WordPress Framework platform has improved a lot and even surprised me by offering several possibilities and editing alternatives, with code programming and plugins that make the construction a lot easier in terms of programming and web design of the page.
At that moment, I take the place of the former programmer of the page and I suppose that because of the misogyny of the former developer of the page, he cannot accept that a woman has taken his place as programmer.
I installed WPActivityLog, because we had an invasion attempt in the month of February where a link to the product on the page sent the customer to a video of the xvideos platform, the owner of the company Alamzen, was in another state of our country Brazil, a trip of business and I took the initiative to install WPactivityLog, this plugin has registered and has been registering since April, just when we changed hosting provider, which I believe unleashed the fury of the old developer because he could no longer have access to our content, we registered several login attempts, because the former programmer knows the company’s employees and their logins.
I asked the owner of the store in question, whose name is Christiano Augusto, to change all passwords to access WordPress, Email, and hosting, and I was promptly answered.
I am very concerned because the attacks are daily and the alleged attacker uses VPN and reverse ip; so you can already imagine that I have no way of physically locating the invasion because the VPN makes it possible for the attacker to be located virtually anywhere in the world.
I would like an absolute trace to have more security on the WordPress platform and that something can be done or that we are instructed so that we are not invaded.
Of course, I am taking all the measures and responsibilities inherent to my profession which are: Password changes, daily backups, information for the company owner, activity log, change of hosting provider, from Hostigator to Hostinger and other measures.. .
As this former programmer has other clients under the WordPress platform, I fear that he is using the same strategy to invade these companies.
Unfortunately when updating the WpActivityLog plugin, the plugin stopped working, I tried an upgrade, but without success, I installed an activity log (another plugin), the attacks continue, they are in the form of login attempts, so far frustrated.
I need to get all the information that WordPress has about these logins, because I know that the WordPress company has these log records of network activities, since the WpActivityLog plugin stopped working.
I need information about the security of WordPress, and what other actions are recommended to protect us.
Both myself, Zuleide Vilarins and the company are available to identify the company and the developer that previously served us and also to provide them with any information that may help.
