Monthly payment (Jetpack x WordPress.com)

    Hello. I was browsing through the plans available for blogs connected by Jetpack, and I realized that they can be paid monthly. But I wonder: Why is there a monthly charge for Jetpack blogs and is there not the same possibility in WordPress.com blogs? I really wanted my blog to be from WordPress.com, but the annual payment is too expensive for me at the moment.
