Exporting a website to Amen
-
Good day;
I’ve recently developed a website through my account and would like to export it to a account in a domain by Amen but when I use the export/import tools, it doesn’t show up like the original.
How can I do this? Thank you

Hi there :)
To help you out, I need to know the URL of your site. Could you please send it?
Thank you.

Thank you for the quick reply! Here’s the original website: https://teste2exe.wordpress.com/
This is how it shows after importing to Amen: http://inov2win.pt/
Thank you again for your attention,

In case you want to keep the website you developed on WordPress.com and change the domain name to inov2win.pt, you should do Domain Mapping.
To map a domain, you’ll need:
An upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site (such as a Personal, Premium or Business plan, etc.)
To add a mapping subscription to your site.
To update the name servers for the domain, so they point to WordPress.com.Then just follow the steps in the original contribution here:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
In case you are using the WordPress open-source, free version on WordPress.org, it’s normal that when you import/export files, the site doesn’t look the same because you imported only the content. Still, you must do all the look and feel configurations manually, like choosing the theme, tweaking homepage settings to a static page or blog page, importing some of the media manually, customizing pages, etc…
Nevertheless, WordPress.org documentation also provides excellent resources for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software:
https://wordpress.org/support/And you can find support at the WordPress.org forum as well: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
