Featured image on post doesn't appear on post page

  My wordpress doesn’t show the image I selected while creating my text post after publishing. It appears on my homepage but when you select the post to go to it’s page it only appears the text part. I select the image as the featured image, but on the post page no image is featured. How can I make it appear every time the post is shown? Thank you
