  Hello,

  I’ve bought the avetrad.com domain few days ago and now I fear for my own safety. I need your help urgently. Help please

  I’ve just received the following e-mail:

  Our law firm represents the financial services firm E*Trade Financial Holdings, LLC (“ETrade”), owner of marks containing or comprising E*TRADE or ETRADE (the “ETRADE Marks”) in connection with financial services, including for online trading platforms. ETrade owns numerous registrations for its ETRADE Marks, including U.S. Reg. Nos. 1985826, 2220629, 2479300, 2574989, 2643482 and 2729546. As a result of long term and widespread use, our client has developed substantial public recognition and incalculable goodwill in its ETRADE Marks, which are famous marks in the financial services industry.

  It has come to our client’s attention that you have registered and are using the domain name avetrad.com (the “Domain Name”), which is confusingly similar to our client’s ETRADE Marks.

  If you believe you have authorization to register and use the Domain Name please let us know from whom at ETrade you received such permission. If you have not received permission to register and use the Domain Name, we request that you promptly cancel the registration for the Domain Name and confirm the same to the undersigned.

  We look forward to your prompt response no later than Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
