Ask our AI assistantFollow these steps to create a payment plan that will be available when you add new payment buttons, paid content, or a paid newsletter:
- Visit your site’s dashboard and navigate to Jetpack → Monetize.
- Click on the Payment Settings tab.
- Click the “Add a new payment plan” button.
- Fill out the following fields:
- Describe the plan: Give the payment a memorable name. This name will appear in the email receipt your customers receive.
- Paid newsletter tier: Associate this payment plan with your paid newsletters.
- Renewal frequency: Choose from monthly, annually, or a one-time payment.
- Amount: Set the currency and amount for the cost of the product.
- Welcome message: Share a custom welcome or thank you message that your customers will receive in their purchase receipt.
- Advanced options:
- Add customers to newsletter mailing list: Automatically sign up new purchases as subscribers.
- Enable customers to pick their own amount (“Pay what you want”): Let your customers enter the amount they want to pay for the product.
- Enable customers to make the same purchase multiple times: Allow your customers to use the same purchase button more than once.
- Click the Save button to save your new payment plan.
When setting up payment buttons, paid content, and paid newsletters, you will create a payment plan. To view and edit your payment plans:
- Visit your site’s dashboard.
- Navigate to Jetpack → Monetize.
- Click on the Payment Settings tab.
- Find the payment plan you want to manage.
- Click the three dots next to the plan name:
- Edit the price, name, emails, and other details about the plan. If you change any prices, existing payments will not be affected. They will continue renewing at the same rate they started with.
- Delete the plan. Any existing payments will continue. If you want to stop payments from existing customers, see the section on canceling payments and issue refunds.
