Every time an image is cropped, a copy of the original image is made. To revert the changes, replace the cropped image with the original image by following these steps:
- Start at your site’s dashboard.
- Edit the page, post, or template where you added the image.
- Click on the image you want to replace.
- In the toolbar that appears above the image, click the “Replace” option.

- Select “Open Media Library” from the list of choices.
- Choose the original image from your media library.
You can also edit images in your Media Library. Unlike when you edit an image in the editor, changes are saved to the original file. However, the original file can be restored at any time. Learn how to edit images in the Media Library.
