Edit your site on mobile or tablet

Use the free Jetpack app to manage and edit your WordPress.com site on your phone or tablet. This guide will show you how to install the app, log in, and start publishing and editing content from your mobile device.

Install and log in to the Jetpack app

To manage your WordPress.com website from your phone or tablet:

  1. Visit wp.com/app from your mobile device or search for the Jetpack mobile app in Google Play (Android) or the App Store (Apple).
  2. Install the app.
  3. Open the app and log in using your WordPress.com account information.

The Jetpack app has a bottom navigation bar that gives you access to your site’s key areas:

  • My Site: Manage posts, pages, media, subscribers, stats, settings, and more.
  • Reader: Explore and follow other sites in the WordPress.com Reader.
  • Notifications: See likes, comments, and other activity.
  • Me: Manage your account profile, app settings, support, and more.

Switch between multiple sites on mobile

If your WordPress.com account is connected to more than one site, you can switch between them in the Jetpack app:

  1. Tap “My Site” in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Tap the downward-facing arrow next to the site name at the top of the screen:

  1. A list of your connected sites will appear.
  2. Tap the site you want to manage, and the app will switch to that site’s dashboard.

If you cannot see your site, confirm that you’re logged in with the correct WordPress.com account connected to that site.

Publish new content in the app

To create a new post or page in the mobile app:

  1. Tap “My Site” in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Select either Posts or Pages.
  3. Tap the + icon to start a new post or page. If you selected a page, you can choose a premade layout to start with, or create a blank page.
  4. Enter a title for the new post or page.
  5. Start writing text in the editor or tap the + button to add images and other blocks:

  1. When ready, tap Publish in the top-right corner or tap the back button in the upper-left corner to exit the editor and save the new content as a draft.

💡

If your mobile internet connection is unstable, save your drafts frequently by tapping the ⋮ icon in the upper right corner and then tapping the Save option.

Edit an existing page or post in the app

To edit existing site content on mobile:

  1. Tap “My Site” in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Select either Posts or Pages.
  3. Tap on the page or post you wish to edit.
    • If your site uses a block theme and you wish to edit the homepage:
      1. Select Homepage.
      2. Select Templates.
      3. Choose your site’s homepage template (which may be called Home, Blog Home, Front Page, or Index depending on the theme).
  4. Edit the content as needed.
  5. Tap the Update or Save button to save the changes.

Upload images and media on mobile

To add images to your site from your mobile or tablet device, take the following steps:

  1. Tap “My Site” in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Select Media (iPhone) or More → Media (Android).
  3. Tap the + icon and choose from options to
    • Take a new photo or video using your device’s camera.
    • Choose an existing file from your device.
    • Search the free photo library for royalty-free images to use.
    • Search for a GIF.

You can also upload media while editing a page or post by tapping the + button and choosing Image, Gallery, Video, or another media block.

Manage site settings on mobile

To access settings from your site in the app:

  1. Tap “My Site” in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Select More and then “Site Settings“.
  3. From here, you can update details like your site title, tagline, privacy settings, and more.
