In this guide, you’ll learn how to adjust the font size of text blocks, update the default font size presets, and create your own custom presets that can be applied to the typography on your site.

Adjust the font size for specific content

You can change the font size of a text block to improve readability or match your site’s design. To adjust the font size of an individual block, follow these steps:

  1. Click the text block you want to edit (such as a Paragraph, Heading, or List block).
  2. In the block settings sidebar, locate the Typography section.
  3. Select a font size from the preset list (such as small, medium, or large), or click the “Set custom size” icon to enter a specific value.
    • Presets are ready-made font size options, like small or large, that help you keep your text consistent across your site.
  4. By default, the size is measured in pixels. Click the px text to change the measurement unit. Learn more about measurement units.
  5. Preview your changes or click the Save button at the top-right to apply them.

You can also change the default settings for a specific block through the styles option under AppearanceEditor in your dashboard.

Adjust the font size for your site

You can adjust the default font size for elements across your entire site by following these steps:

  1. From your site’s dashboard, go to Appearance → Editor.
  2. Select Styles from the left-side menu.
    • You can also select the Styles icon (a black-and-white circle) in the upper-right corner of the editor.
  3. Click Typography to edit the default font size for elements on your site.
  4. Under the Elements section, choose any of the following:
    • Text
    • Links
    • Headings
    • Captions
    • Buttons
  5. Select a font size from the preset list (such as small, medium, or large), or click the “Set custom size” icon to enter a specific value.
  6. Click “Review change” or Save to apply your changes.

Edit font size presets

Presets are ready-made font size options, like small or large, that help you keep your text consistent across your site. To change the values of your theme’s font size presets, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Appearance → Editor in your site’s dashboard.
  2. Click the Styles menu option.
  3. Select the Typography option.
  4. Click “Font size presets” at the bottom of the panel.
  5. Select a preset font size (such as small, medium, or large).
  6. Enter your preferred value in the size box and choose the unit (px, em, rem, vh, or vw).
    • Enable the “Fluid typography” option to allow the font size to scale dynamically with the screen or viewport.
    • Optionally, enable “Custom fluid values” to set custom minimum and maximum values for the fluid font size.
  7. Click “Review change” or Save to apply your changes.

Create a new font size preset

To add a custom font size preset for easy reuse, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Appearance → Editor in your site’s dashboard.
  2. Click the Styles menu option.
  3. Select the Typography option.
  4. Click the “Font size presets” option at the bottom of the panel.
  5. Next to Custom, click the plus (+) sign. A new font size preset will appear with a default name such as “New Font Size 1”.
  6. Select the new preset font size.
  7. Click the ellipsis () icon at the top right and select Rename to give your preset a descriptive name.
  8. Enter your preferred value in the size box and choose the unit (px, em, rem, vh, or vw).
    • Enable the “Fluid typography” option to allow the font size to scale dynamically with the screen or viewport.
    • Optionally, enable “Custom fluid values” to set custom minimum and maximum values for the fluid font size.
  9. Click “Review change” or Save to apply your changes.

Your new font size preset will now be available in the typography settings throughout your site for consistent styling.
