If you have Professional Email through WordPress.com, you can improve email deliverability to your recipients by setting up an SMTP plugin. This guide will show you how to set up the WP Mail SMTP plugin with your Professional Email services.

This feature is available on sites with the WordPress.com Business and Commerce plans. If you have a Business plan, make sure to activate it. For free sites and sites on the Personal and Premium plans, upgrade your plan to access this feature.

Step 1: Enable third-party email access

You will need to configure your Professional Email (powered by Titan) to allow third-party email access before the WP Mail SMTP plugin will work.

To allow third-party email access in your Titan settings, follow these steps:

  1. Log into Titan Webmail.
  2. Click the Settings icon in the top-right of your dashboard.
  3. Select “Enable Titan on other apps” from the side menu.
    • If you see “Configure 3rd party apps” instead, third-party email access is already active, and you can skip to step 2.
  4. After completing the feature tour, click “Enable Titan on other apps to grant permission for third-party email clients to access your emails.
