Add content to a banner

The Cover block is a container block used to display a large image or video as a background. You can add text, buttons, or other blocks on top of the image or video. In this guide, we’ll show you how to add and customize the content within your Cover block.

Add content to a banner

To add content on top of an image or video inserted using the Cover block:

  1. Go to your site’s dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the page, post, or template where the banner is located.
  3. Select List View in the top-left corner of the editor.
  4. Click the Cover block item in the List View.

  1. Click the + (Add block) icon in the Cover block.
  2. Search for and select the block you want to add, like a Heading Block, Paragraph Block, Buttons Block, and any other type of block.

Add more blocks to a banner

To add additional blocks to your banner:

  1. Click on an existing block in the Cover block.
  2. In the toolbar that appears, click the ellipses (⋮) icon and then select “Add before” or “Add after” to create a space for a new block:

  1. Click the + (Add block) icon that appears.
  2. Search for and select the block you want to add, like a Heading Block, Paragraph Block, Buttons Block, and any other type of block.

Once you’ve added your content, you can adjust the banner’s layout and banner style for a more polished look.
