Style your gallery

The Gallery block includes styling options for spacing, color, borders, and styling individual images. In this guide, learn how to style your Gallery block.

You can customize the spacing between images in the gallery, as well as the padding and margins of the gallery, by following these steps:

  1. Select List View in the top-left corner of the editor. It’s the icon that looks like three horizontal lines above each other.
  2. Locate the Gallery block in the list and click on it.
  3. In the block settings sidebar on the right, click on the Styles tab (represented by a black and white circle icon):

Add a background color

To add a background color to your gallery, follow these steps:

  1. Select List View in the top-left corner of the editor. It’s the icon that looks like three horizontal lines above each other.
  2. Locate the Gallery block in the list and click on it.
  3. In the block settings sidebar on the right, click on the Styles tab.
  4. Click the background option to apply a background color to the gallery.
  5. Click the “Save” or “Publish” button at the top of the screen.

Add a border

To add a border to your gallery, follow these steps:

  1. Select List View in the top-left corner of the editor. It’s the icon that looks like three horizontal lines above each other.
  2. Locate the Gallery block in the list and click on it.
  3. In the block settings sidebar on the right, click on the Styles tab.
  4. Adjust the border for the Gallery block.
  5. Click the “Save” or “Publish” button at the top of the screen.

Style individual images

The Gallery block consists of individual Image blocks. You can style individual images within your gallery by following these steps:

  1. Select List View in the top-left corner of the editor. It’s the icon that looks like three horizontal lines above each other.
  2. Click the arrow to the left of the Gallery block to display the list of images within the gallery.
  3. Click a specific image in the list.

  1. In the block settings sidebar on the right, click on the Styles tab.
  2. Apply styles like rounded edges, duotone filters, and borders to the specific image.
  3. Click the “Save” or “Publish” button at the top of the screen.
