Cancel/pause website, keep domain

    As I am curently not using my website in the way intended. I would like to know if it is possible to pause the web hosting but still keep the domain, and the domain privacy.
    I will later start using my website again but for now I do not want to keep it online.

    My website is made in WordPress and I use Bluehost as the web host but I might change the hosting to WordPress in the future when my website is up to date again.

    Help regarding my question is highly appreciated.
