Open ports for outbound traffic?

  Hi, I’ve just build a plugin to handle payments on the XRP ledger (https://ripple.com/xrp) and during the beta-testing, some user complained that the plugin did not work on wordpress.com. After some debugging I noticed we get ‘Connection refused’ and I’m certain the server is up and running. I use cURL to send a JSON-RPC request to a s2.ripple.com on port 51234. My guess is that non-standard ports are firewalled at your end? How can we get this sorted?
