Portfolio on static start page

  Hi,
  I use the theme Blask and I try to make the portfolio page as my static front page. It seems as I cannot. Why is that?

  I tried to use the [portfolio] shortcode on another page. It reads the portfolio entries but I get the following two real problems.

  * the url cannot be /portfolio (since that’s already taken by the ‘real’ portfolio page)

  * my new portfolio page doesn’t use the portfolio archives page type

  Can you please help me even though I realize this is kind of a special question.

  I just realized that you could select the portfolio archives post type! Thanks a million!
