Bain Marie is the perfect theme for food and lifestyle bloggers. Featuring elegant, modern styles and specialized recipe cards, it offers a reliable and attractive choice for your blog. The theme includes two color palettes, providing you with more customization options.

Homepage setup

Bain Marie comes with a custom homepage design featuring an intro section with search and blog categories, a blog section with a sidebar, and a newsletter signup at the bottom. You can edit the information on the homepage via the Site Editor, accessible from your dashboard, via Appearance > Editor.

On the demo site,  the top section displays a selection of categories with images. These need to be manually configured by adding your own image and creating a link to a category or tag on your blog. Learn more about how to use categories on your blog.

Custom patterns

Bain Marie comes with the following recipe card patterns:

• Recipe – a general recipe card with list of ingredients, instructions, and notes.
• Centered recipe card – a recipe card with more detailed header section.
• Recipe card with video.

These patterns can be found under Featured category in the pattern inserter, and can be added to any post or page.

Site-wide notice

The header includes a site-wide notice, which is a small message displayed right above the site title on every page of your site. You can customize this message via the Site Editor, accessible from your dashboard, via Appearance > Editor. Simply click on the existing text and start editing, then hit Save in the top right corner. The message will be updated across the whole site.
