Cottage is a blogging theme featuring earthy tones, subtle textured backgrounds, and classic serif fonts. Cottage brings a touch of pastoral beauty to your online space, evoking a sense of simplicity and natural elegance.

Theme configuration
The homepage for this theme is built within the Front Page template found under Appearance > Editor. The top header section of this template starts out with a stylish Featured Post option. When you first activate this theme, you may see “No results found” and the top header and navigation menu will be missing. To set this section up:
- Create a new post.
- Assign a Featured Image to the post.
- Assign the post to be Sticky following these instructions to mark a post as sticky
- Publish the post.
If you don’t want to use the default header with Featured Post, you can also switch to a different header design.
To feature Instagram posts on the homepage, follow these steps:
- Open the Site Editor. You can access it from your dashboard, via Appearance > Editor.
- Open up the list view – this will make it easier to select the right block.
- Select and delete the Gallery block with the example Instagram posts.
- Add Latest Instagram Posts block in its place, and connect to Instagram.
- Customize the Instagram feed – change the number of posts to 8, number of columns to 4, and adjust image spacing.
At the bottom of the homepage you’ll find a blog subscription section. To add a Subscribe block to your site:
- Open the Site Editor. You can access it from your dashboard, via Appearance > Editor.
- Open up the list view – this will make it easier to select the right block.
- Select the “Subscribe” buttons block and delete it.
- Add a Subscribe block and configure the settings.
