Blogger Did Not Output .XML File

    I wanted to transfer my posts from Blogger to WordPress. To this end, I backed up the content through the ‘Settings’ section in Blogger. However, I believe Blogger no longer provides .xml files. It provides site backups as .zip or .atom files. When it provides a zip file, I don’t see an .xml file inside; there’s still an .atom file. WordPress didn’t accept the .zip file when importing. It also doesn’t accept the .atom file. As a WordPress user on the free plan—I’m providing this information so I don’t recommend installing any plugins—what can I do about this?

    Let me correct a mistake I made: Blogger offers .zip file and .tgz file options when backing up. There is an .atom file with various files inside the .zip file. However, there is no .xml file.
