Expenzey Scout

Expenzey Scout embeds a Vue admin app inside WordPress that connects your WooCommerce store to Expenzey cloud analytics and AI features.

Consent required

Store data is not synced until a site administrator accepts the in-plugin data processing disclosure during connection.

External services

This plugin connects to third-party services. Store analytics and AI features require administrator consent during onboarding. Optional Pro licensing uses Freemius only when you open pricing or activate a license.

Expenzey (hosted API)

• What it is used for: Store registration, WooCommerce sync, analytics APIs, weekly reports, opportunities, usage quotas, AI chat proxy, installation revoke
• What data is sent: Site URL, installation ID, store currency, order metrics with hashed customer identifiers, product catalog fields, truncated review text, AI chat messages, plugin integrity metadata, auth tokens
• When data is sent: After you accept the in-plugin data processing disclosure and connect; then on scheduled sync (every 6 hours), weekly reports, and when you use dashboard, reports, opportunities, or chat features

Google Gemini

• What it is used for: AI-generated weekly report narratives and Store Analyst chat replies (invoked server-side by the Expenzey API; not called directly from the plugin)
• What data is sent: Aggregated store metrics and chat prompts derived from your store data; not raw customer email addresses
• When data is sent: After consent, when generating reports or sending chat messages

Freemius

• What it is used for: Optional Pro license activation, in-dashboard pricing display, and checkout
• What data is sent: Plugin ID, plugin version, site URL, license/checkout context; payment details are entered on Freemius checkout pages
• When data is sent: When you open Pro pricing, activate a license, or complete checkout — not required for free-tier store analytics
