4. Enter your Chatbot ID in the plugin settings
5. Enable the chatbot – you’re done!

What data is sent and when:

1. Widget Script Loading: When the chatbot is enabled, the plugin loads a JavaScript widget from https://api.botdolphin.com/widget.js. This happens on every page load for your website visitors.

2. Chatbot Configuration: Your Chatbot ID is sent to retrieve your specific chatbot settings (colors, messages, behavior).

3. Visitor Messages: When a visitor types a message in the chat widget, the message content is sent to BotDolphin servers to generate an AI response.

4. Lead Form Data: If you have lead capture enabled and a visitor submits their information, the following data may be collected based on your configuration:

   • Name
   • Email address
   • Phone number

5. Page URL: The current page URL is sent for conversation context and analytics.

6. Session Data: A unique session identifier is used to maintain conversation continuity.
