Backlia – Backlinks & Content Distribution for SEO & AI Search
Backlia lets you distribute your own content across the Backlia network directly from the WordPress editor. When you publish a post and mark it for Backlia, the plugin sends the post’s URL, title and description to your Backlia account, which creates a public, indexable page for your content in the Backlia directory network — and that page links back to your post.
It is a content-distribution tool for your own website. It is not a link exchange, a private blog network, or a service that promises or manipulates search rankings.
Built for modern search: SEO, AEO and GEO
Search is no longer only about ten blue links. Backlia distributes your own content to additional indexable web pages, which can support your visibility across:
- SEO (Search Engine Optimization) — traditional search engines that crawl and index the open web.
- AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) — answer engines and assistants that read indexable pages to build responses.
- GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) — generative/AI engines that cite and summarize publicly available web content.
Backlia does not make ranking promises. It simply makes your own content available on more indexable pages, with a backlink to the original post. Results depend on your content and the search engines themselves.
What you can do
- Create a free Backlia account right from the plugin (email + password) — no separate signup needed.
- On the free plan, generate 1 backlink for your own site’s domain. Need more backlinks, or backlinks for other domains? A paid plan is required.
- Generate a backlink from any post with a single checkbox in the editor.
- Optionally generate a backlink automatically for every new post you publish (toggle in Settings).
- See all your backlinks in a dashboard inside wp-admin.
- Choose a category/subcategory for each backlink (optional).
How it works
- Connect or create your Backlia account in Backlia → Settings.
- Edit any post. In the «Backlink» box (right column), tick «Generate a Backlia backlink» and adjust the title/description if you want.
- Publish or update the post. The backlink is created in the Backlia network (subject to your plan’s limit).
Languages
The plugin interface follows your WordPress language. It ships translated for Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Japanese and Chinese (Simplified). If your WordPress is set to any other language, the interface is shown in English (US).
Account required
Backlia is a connected service. The plugin requires a free or paid Backlia account (created in seconds from the plugin) to work. Learn more at https://backlia.com/wordpress-plugin .
External services
This plugin connects to the Backlia service (https://backlia.com), operated by Backlia, to create and manage your account and your backlinks. This connection is required for the plugin to function.
When data is sent and what is sent:
- Creating or connecting an account (when you submit the form in Backlia → Settings): your email address, your password (over HTTPS; the password is never stored by the plugin — only an access token is kept), and your site’s domain. In return the plugin receives an authentication token.
- Publishing a post marked for Backlia: the post’s permalink (URL), title, description, and the optional category/subcategory you chose. In return the plugin receives the status of the created backlink.
- Account/plan status, categories, and the embedded dashboard: the plugin loads your plan status, the list of categories, and a logged-in dashboard view from Backlia using your token.
- Public post view counting: on a public post that you marked for Backlia, a small anonymous request is sent from the visitor’s browser to Backlia to count the backlink view. No personal data is sent; it only signals that the backlink was viewed.
No data is sent to Backlia until you connect/create an account and explicitly publish a post marked for Backlia.
