Hi! I am having an issue that I NEED to resolve ASAP. I am using WordPress.com to build an online portfolio, and as I am making the various pages to categorize my work, there is an issue with the subcategories of a Main Page displaying ‘•20’ instead of the ‘—’ (en dash) it should. I have full access to edit the CSS, and NEED NEED NEED to get this resolved ASAP. PLEASE help me out with this. no no i’m not coding it myself at all. It’s jsut the standard “pages” sidebar widget for chaotic soul. When you create a subcategory the software automatically prefaces in with an en dash and it is showing up incorrectly on the page. The only workaround I’ve figured out so far is to just have each page be an independent entity, although I really had wanted there to be subcategories (parent/children)… so if you know the fix for this, please explain it to me as if you were talking to a 5 year old, because I haven’t got a clue of what the hell to change to fix this.

ok, again, just to be clear: if I could make the dash go away I would, but wordpress AUTOMATICALLY puts it in front of a page that is a “child” of another page. And when it lists the pages on the right, those dashes are showing up as •20. So I thought maybe there was some kind of font issue in the CSS? I have no clue. You see what I mean here? I just need to know what to do to either get rid of the dashes altogether or make the theme display them properly. (and it’s not a browser issue, I checked it in Firefox, Safari, and Opera)

Yea I turned off the sub cats now until I can figure this out. I’ll put ONE on now (architectural design) jsut to test

it’s not an IE thing, I don’t even have it installed on this machine. I’m in safari normally. i checked the font: installed. There is some problem with the theme…
