  Please make sure to check your spam folders. If you are using Gmail with tabs, be sure to check them all as well.

  Hi Ironically the one I am trying to follow is my own.
  The blog I need help with is patticlark.wordpress.com.

  When I go to my site, it shows in the top left, by the reader that I am following, but on the right, by my ‘follow’ button, it says I’m not following. And my posts do not come to my email.

  Hi Patti,

  Thanks for clarifying that. You are following your own blog, but there are a couple things going on:

  1. You are blocking emails from WordPress.com, so you won’t receive any email updates from your blog or other WordPress.com emails. You can change that by unchecking the “Block Emails” setting in your notifications settings.

  2. You can then manage your following settings for each blog you follow on your Edit Blogs I Follow page. If you disable email updates for a blog you’re following, you’ll only get updates from that blog in the Reader (not as an email subscriber).
