Donatico – Stripe Donations & Recurring Giving
Donatico is the independent alternative to GiveWP: a clean WordPress plugin for accepting donations via Stripe, with no platform fee on any tier and none of the weight of an all-in-one fundraising suite. No bloat, no page-builder dependency, no account on someone else’s platform – just donation forms on your own site, funds in your own Stripe account.
Already running GiveWP or Charitable? Donatico’s built-in importer migrates your donors, donation history, and campaign links in a few clicks – dry-run preview before anything is written, and re-running it never creates duplicate donors.
Perfect for non-profits, charities, churches, content creators, podcasters, and any organisation that wants a simple, professional donation system without platform fees or vendor lock-in.

Donatico Pro – Turn one-time gifts into recurring support
The free plugin handles one-time donations beautifully. Donatico Pro adds the features that turn casual giving into dependable, recurring income:
- Recurring Donations – Let supporters give monthly or yearly through Stripe. Predictable income that renews automatically – the backbone of sustainable fundraising.
- Campaigns with Goals – Run fundraising drives with goal tracking and live progress, including a countdown to your end date, milestone badges at 25/50/75/100% of goal, and matching challenges – set a ratio, sponsor name, and an optional cap so your progress bar shows the sponsor-matched total alongside what’s been raised.
- Donation Tiers – Offer named giving levels with perks to guide donors toward meaningful gifts.
- Donor Management – See lifetime giving, history, and last gift for every supporter, right inside WordPress.
- Tribute Gifts & Donor Wall – Accept donations in memory or honor of someone, and showcase supporters publicly.
- Subscriber Self-Service Portal – Donors manage their own recurring gifts through a secure, email-verified portal.
- Custom Form Fields – Add your own fields (text, textarea, dropdown, checkbox, or hidden) to your donation form; values show on each donation’s detail view and in CSV export.

Donatico Business – Formal receipts and giving statements
Donatico Business is a higher tier than Starter, adding paperwork-grade documentation on top of everything in Pro:
- PDF Donation Receipts – Each donation gets a downloadable PDF receipt with its own sequential receipt number, separate from the donation’s internal record ID.
- Annual Giving Statements – Donors download one PDF summarizing all of their donations for a calendar year, right from their donor dashboard – shown separately per currency for donors who gave in more than one.
- Organization Details on Receipts – Add your organization’s name, address, and tax ID/EIN so receipts and statements carry your official information.
- Outbound Webhooks – Notify your own systems (Zapier, a custom app, your CRM) via a signed HTTP POST whenever a donation completes, a donor gives for the first time, a subscription starts or cancels, or a campaign hits its goal. Every delivery is HMAC-SHA256 signed, retried automatically on failure, and logged.
- Funds / Designations – Let donors choose which fund or program their gift supports from a dropdown on your donation form. See per-fund totals – shown separately per currency for funds that received gifts in more than one – from a dedicated Funds admin page, and the designated fund on every donor receipt, dashboard entry, admin donation detail view, and CSV export row.
- Tribute eCards – Turn a tribute gift into a shareable, downloadable PDF card with the honoree’s name and message – available from the donor dashboard alongside the regular PDF receipt for any donation made in memory or honor of someone.

External Services
This plugin connects to Stripe to process payments.
What it does: Processes credit card donations via Stripe Checkout – a secure, Stripe-hosted payment page.
When it connects: Only when a donor submits the donation form, or when Stripe sends a webhook event to confirm payment status.
What data is sent to Stripe: Donor name, email address, donation amount, currency, and an optional message. Payment card details are entered directly on Stripe’s servers and never pass through your website.
