How to Use the Plugin

Getting started with Baidu Ping Booster Pro is quick and easy. Follow these steps to configure and run the plugin:

1. Activate the Plugin: After uploading and activating the plugin via your WordPress dashboard (Plugins > Installed Plugins), look for the new Baidu Booster menu item in your left sidebar.

2. Configure General Settings:

   • Click on Baidu Booster to open the main dashboard.
   • Enter your website's primary domain URL and verify your connection parameters.
   • Enable Automated Pinging so that every time you hit "Publish" or "Update" on a post, the plugin instantly alerts Baidu.

3. Manage the Baidu XML Sitemap:

   • Navigate to the Sitemap tab within the plugin settings.
   • Select which post types (Posts, Pages, Products) you want included in your custom Baidu sitemap feed.
   • Submit your generated sitemap URL directly to the Baidu Webmaster Platform.

4. Use the Manual Ping Tool:

   • If you have updated old content or want to force-index a specific new URL immediately, navigate to the Manual Ping section.
   • Paste the exact URL into the input box and click Send Ping to instantly notify the Baidu crawler.

5. Set Up Baidu Analytics (Tongji):

   • Go to the Analytics tab in the plugin settings.
   • Paste your Baidu Tongji Tracking ID string into the designated field and save changes. The plugin will automatically append the tracking script to your site.
