AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude use crawlers to discover and index web content. CrawlGator AI Lab detects those crawlers, measures how often they visit your site, and turns that data into a clear AI Visibility Score from 0 to 100.

External Services
This plugin connects to the following external services. By using this plugin, you agree that data may be transmitted to these services under the conditions described below.
WPRankLab (wpranklab.com)
This plugin communicates with wpranklab.com for two distinct purposes:
1. Site Registration
When it is used: During the Setup Wizard, only if you explicitly tick the consent checkbox. No data is sent without your consent.
What is sent: Site URL, site name, business name, organisation type.
Why: To register your site with the WPRankLab service and obtain a site token required for AI-powered features.
2. AI Proxy (Pro features)
When it is used: When a Pro AI-powered feature is triggered (AI Summary generation, Q&A block generation, entity extraction, or missing topics analysis). All AI requests are routed through the WPRankLab AI proxy, which calls OpenAI on your behalf using WPRankLab's API key. Your own OpenAI key is not required and is not used for these calls.
What is sent: Your site token (obtained during registration), your site URL, and the title and content of the WordPress post being analysed.
Why: To generate AI-written summaries, Q&A blocks, and entity analysis for your content via OpenAI, without requiring you to supply your own OpenAI credentials.

OpenAI (api.openai.com)
When it is used: OpenAI is called indirectly via the WPRankLab AI proxy described above. Your WordPress server does not make direct calls to api.openai.com. WPRankLab's servers forward your post content to OpenAI to fulfil AI-powered Pro feature requests.
What is sent (via WPRankLab proxy): The title and content of the WordPress post being analysed.
Why: To generate AI-written summaries, Q&A blocks, and entity analysis for your content.
